Friendly tips for this week:
🔹BUNDLE UP. Being outside for 5 minutes could lead to frostbite. ❄️ That goes for pets too!🐶🐱
🔹Shovel your sidewalks today before the freezing weather starts to ice everything! ⛄️ If you live near a curb cut, please be courteous and shovel that too. I had to drive in the middle of a very busy road because the curb cuts were not shoveled.
🔹If you see someone in a wheelchair struggling in the snow, ask if they need help! Or if you see ANYONE struggling. They’re cold too!♿️🚹🚺
🔹Your furnaces will be overworked, make sure your carbon monoxide detectors are working correctly!🚨
🔹Make sure your gas tanks are at least half way full so your gas doesn’t freeze or you can at least keep yourself warm long enough for help to arrive if your car dies!🚗🥶
🔹Keep an emergency kit and blanket with you in case your car dies on the road!🚔
🔹Have extra water handy in case your pipes burst!💦
🔹If you must go anywhere, get a cab instead of an Uber. 🚕Surcharges will most likely be through the roof. Many people forget cabs exist because of the convenience of an app but it could save you lots of money.💰
🔹Be grateful for having a roof over your head. 🏠 Homeless people are dying due to the cold.
Times like these can be scary and we have to remember to look out for one another! 👫👭👬 If your heat in your home stops working, my door is open for anyone who needs it 🤗
